Garlic Naan
Ingredients
- 5 cups bread flour
- 1/2 cup yogurt
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups warm water
Directions
- Put the flour in a bowl
- Make a well in the flour, add all ingredients
- Mix all ingredients except for water, stir to combine until it clumps up when you hold it in your hand
- Put in stand mixer, and slowly add in the water
- Stir to combine
- Switch to dough hook, knead until very smooth and stretchy
- Rise for about 90 minutes
- Roll into flat circle
- Spread garlic slices and ghee on naan
- Roll each circle tight into a cigar shape, then twirl it like a braided rug. This forces the garlic inside the dough.
- Roll out each naan ball again into a flat circle
- Cook on a medium hot stove top or grill
